The Toronto Raptors announced Monday afternoon that they have signed guard Jaden Bradley to a multi-year contract.
Bradley was previously on a two-way deal, and the move opens up a two-way spot, which the Raptors are reportedly using to sign guard Malachi Smith to a two-way contract, per Mike Scotto
Per Blake Murphy, Bradley was the only player that the Raptors could add as a 14th player without waiting a few weeks into the season, as second-round draft picks have a smaller apron hit. The Raptors are currently pressed right against the first apron, triggering a hard cap.
Bradley, six-foot-three and 205 pounds, was selected 50th overall by the Raptors in the 2026 NBA draft. The 23-year-old guard finished his senior season with the Arizona Wildcats averaging 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 46.3% from the field, 39.4% from three, and 80.9% from the free throw line.
It’s a right place at the right time conversion for Bradley, given he was the only player the Raptors could sign if they didn’t want to go into the season shorthanded.. Especially because Bradley’s stint in the summer league left much to be desired, he seemed unsure of himself and never quite found his rhythm. In five summer league games, Bradley averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.0 turnovers per game while shooting 32.4% from the field, and 60% from the free throw line. Bradley shot 0/2 from three point range.
Bradley fills a similar role and player archetype as Jamal Shead and Chucky Hepburn, so I don’t imagine he’ll see much NBA time this season. It wouldn’t surprise me if Bradley spends lots of time in Missisauga with the Raptors 905.
Per team policy, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
