Scottie Barnes set a new career high with 41 points in a rematch against the Orlando Magic.
Scottie first broke the record midway through the fourth quarter of Friday night’s game, hitting two three-pointers in quick succession to reach a new career high of 36.
As expected, with plenty of time remaining, he kept racking up points to cut into the Magic’s near-10-point lead, before a three from Immanuel Quickley finally gave the Raps the lead for the first time since it was 4-3.
Barnes had dropped his previous career high twice: the first time was against the Indiana Pacers, when he dropped 35 points, nine assists, and six rebounds; the second time was against the San Antonio Spurs, when he dropped 35 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.
Interestingly, our own Zulfi Sheikh pointed out that this is his 16th career 30/5/5 game and ties DeMar DeRozan for the fourth most in Raptors history. Sportsnet’s stats department also noted that Scottie’s 24 first-half field-goal attempts tie an NBA record in the play-by-play era (or since 1997-1998) set by Kobe Bryant (Nov. 16, 2014) and Bam Adebayo (Mar. 10, 2026).
