Raptors sign Nimari Burnett to Exhibit-10 contract after draft night

Toronto adds depth to its backcourt, bringing in Nimari Burnett on a training camp deal.

The Toronto Raptors wasted no time after draft night, adding to their roster by signing undrafted guard Nimari Burnett to an Exhibit 10 contract.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a non-guaranteed minimum salary contract that includes a training camp invite. It can be converted into a two-way contract before the regular season, or waived at any point without impacting the salary cap.

Burnett spent six seasons at the NCAA level, including his final three with Michigan. Over that stretch, he started 109 straight games and averaged at least eight points in each season.

In his final year, his role dipped slightly, playing 19.8 minutes per game compared to 26.3 the year prior, but he still produced 8.2 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 45.3 percent from the field. He also shot 37.5 percent from three. During the 2024-25 season he shot 40 percent from beyond the arc.

Burnett has never averaged double figures in college, but he’s still been able to deliver some notable moments, including a buzzer-beating game-winner against Rutgers and a career-high 31-point performance against Penn State.

He brings durability and experience, having started every game across his three-year run at Michigan, a span that included both a difficult 8–24 season in 2023–24 and a national championship run in 2025–26, when the Wolverines finished 37–3.

This move follows the two draft pick selections Toronto selected during the 2026 NBA Draft. The Raptors used the draft to add forward Allen Graves out of Santa Clara with the 19th pick, and guard Jaden Bradley out of Arizona with the 50th pick.

With the roster still taking shape, the Raptors currently lack a clear third-string point guard behind Immanuel Quickley and Jamal Shead. That spot could come down to a competition between Bradley and Burnett heading into training camp.
