Looks like the Toronto Raptors are finally filling the void roster spot that has sat empty since Alex Len was waived. And, surprise surprise, it will be with another big.
The Toronto Raptors are signing forward Donta Hall of G League’s elite Ignite team on a 10-day contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Donta Hall is a power forward with springs, and though he’s only six foot nine, he can play some center as well. He’s a solid shot-blocker and rebounder, and though he hasn’t attempted a three in his nine-game NBA career, he offers enough around the rim to make up for being a non-shooter.
Hall is averaging 8.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks a game this year for the G League Ignite while shooting 61.4 percent from the floor. He’s big and physical, and though his assist numbers don’t show it, he can spray surprisingly zippy passes across the court. If opponents double the guard for whom Hall is setting a screen, he’ll be more than capable of attacking four-on-threes by zipping short-roll passes to the corners for threes. Or, just dunking the ball. Hall is a solid offensive rebounder and screen-setter, too.
On the other end, Hall is a good ‘make stuff happen’ defender. He generates plenty of steals and blocks, which Toronto values highly in defenders. He won’t be a lockdown defender, but he should be able to fill spot minutes with bench units and help spark the transition game. Where he can throw down some cool dunks.
A very solid signing for a 10-day contract.
