The people who are outright opposed to the trade cite two reasons. The first being the inclusion of a first round pick and the other being Marcus Banks and his contract. Now there’s nothing we can do about the first round pick but we might be able to salvage something of Marcus Banks. If he could actually provide some stability at the backup PG position this trade just might be better than it appears on paper.
Nobody in Toronto has seen much of Marcus Banks so I though I’d get a take on him and the rest of the trade from a Heat perspective. I talked to David Dwork from Peninsula is Mightier about what Banks and Marion bring to the Raptors.
