Stuckey plays a lot better off of the ball as a #2. It would interesting to see him and Calderon in the same backcourt though I doubt seriously that Dumars would trade Stuckey.

Stuckey by the way is a scorer and not a shooter.
=============
Johnson was bascially stuck behind Maxiell his entire time with the Pistons. Maxiell is not very good and has arthritic knees. I am not sure why Dumars gave him the contract that he did last summer. I think he is overpaid. He is however able to play 20 minutes in a game without committing 4 or 5 fouls though there is a big question how often he can play 20 minutes without his knees acting up.

Not sure if Stuckey can be good PG replacement, but he would provide better defense. Devin Harris and Jose have similar contracts (I think), but I cannot see Nets trading him.

Uh....If you can trade Jose for EITHER Jason Maxiell or Stuckey without surrendering any picks, you do it immediately, no questions asked. Both? Get er done yesterday..

Doug Smith is suggesting that maybe Triano should start Johnson rather than Bargnani.

I still think that Johnson commits way too many fouls and his offense has been inconsistent due in large part to the fact that the Raptors don't run any plays for him.

Johnson did start some for the Pistons last year; i.e. 24 games.

There were two major problems with him starting last year.

1. It was the first time that he actually played meaningful minutes against starters. This showed in his defense which was not near as good going against the likes of Dirk, KG etc as it was against the likes of A. Varejao etc.

2. The Pistons never ran any plays for him once Billups was traded which was after the second game. Not only didn't they run any plays for him but he never even had the ball passed to him literaly. In most starts he got maybe 1 to 2 passes per 10 or so minutes of court time and I remember some games where he received zero passes in 10 minutes court time. Needless to say opponents picked up up on that and the Pistons wound up playing 4 on 5 when Johnson was in the starting lineup. So that did not work.

Keeping in mind those two issues I think Johnson has now gained some experience playing against starters as a regular rotation guy and the Raptors have at least shown the willingness to pass him the ball once in a while. However, even if the Raptors were to start running a couple of basic plays for Johnson like the give and go and letting him shoot hook shots in the low post I would much rather see Evans start when he returns than Johnson. In the meantime I would leave Bargnani in as a starter.

i am so done with this team man, iv been a die hard fan for maybe 6 years but i am a lil bit sad that i have gotta call it quits. i cant stand defending this team to my friends and they never come thru. the bobcat loss was bad, but beating a good team after would have made me feel better, instead they get spanked back to back and i cant take it no more, and bosh must be gettin this feeling as well.
