Every few games Bargnani grabs a bunch of rebounds but it seems to me if the is not shooting well and scoring he is a liability on the court for the Raptors.

I think that the Raptors want to make Reddick an all-star. LOL

I got news for you bud, Wade, Lebron, Garnette, Duncan,Paul, Howard, Kobe have all lead there teams to playoff success. MVP’s, Finals MVP’s, championships etc.

You lead your teams to 13th place in the east every year.

And this clown is always bragging about being in all star games and putting up alot of points. He’s not even a started in the all star games lol.

Wade, Lebron, Howard probably laugh at Bosh and make fun of him and ridicule the guy for being a Mentally weak loser.

Notice how every player who comes to Toronto they underachieve when they play with Bosh……Turkoglue with Howard = Finals. Marion with Nash = instant playoff success. Kapono with Wade = Ring, Rafer Alston with Howard = finals.

These guys then play with Rupaul and…………

Amir replaced Bargs after AB fouled out. Amir should have stayed in this game today on sure effectiveness on the floor.

I don’t know why we keep going over this. Everyone knows that Babcock got it in his head that he would trade Carter, REGARDLESS of what was offered, and that is what he did.

I fully agree. Carter did a lot more for Toronto. With Bosh, its almost an after thought, with Carter it was sincere and beyond and above what was expected of him.

If it was for tax breaks, he had a bad accountant.

Come on these are nba players there egos are bigger then there paycheques do you really think that he would really put his value down. Do you really think that carter hated the city look at what he has done for this city built basketball courts, basketball fundraisers with other nba stars and celebrities, and he would host alot of parties in the city. If you really think about it comparing what Carter has done and what bosh has done in the city. It makes Bosh look really suspect and that all he says about how he loves being here. I remember reading in the summer that this was his first summer being in toronto and how he just started to really enjoy the city. Come on you have been here for over SIX YEARS and you dont even take the time to get to know the city ur gonna be working at.

another point…if he takes 1-2 shots a game from the elbow you’d have to take in to consideration if he’s having an on night and will the defense really care if the play ends with an open look for Johnson. I’d say with Bosh in the post on an iso help is coming from the other big on d unless Bosh is being guarded by Garnett, Duncan, O’Neil or Howard(when that happens he turns into a shooter and would make Johnsons shot obsolete.).

They won’t keep things honest. The opposing coach would be happy to goad him into taking that shot. It’s also not technically 4 on 5 when he is on the offensive end. Your looking past many facets of the game, such as pick and roll screens and ball movement. Just like the starting line-up being DeRozan as the 5th option behind Bosh, Bargs, Turk and Calderon he would be the 5th option behind whoever he’s on the court with. I’d much rather see him utilized in the Pick & Rolls and High screens because he’s an active & agile big man.

I hear ya.

However, if you look at the Raptors production on offense it falls off quite a bit when Johnson is on the court because teams start playing 5 on 4. Its also not like he hasn’t shown the ability to pass from the top of the key.

To put numbers on it just for sake of discussion. Say in 20 minutes of play I would like to see Johnson take 5 to 7 shots. Most of them from down low but say 1 or maybe 2 from outside the restricted area. It will go towards keeping the opponents team defense a little more honest while he is on the court and reduce the number of double teams on the other Raptors on the court with him.

But you know, i think you are right. I think Vince actually HATED toronto. It wasn’t because we were sucking, but i think he just hated the city in general.

I don’t know though, i think if i was a nba player and i don’t like my team, i would do the same. Play like shit, so the team you are going to be trade to, will not have to give up good players to acquire you. This way you will have a better future team.

You know, honestly put yourself in his shoes at that time. You are arguably one of the best players in the league, and your team wants to rebuild? Dude you want to win a championship not to rebuild.

However, if has a beat of patience, by the way bosh was rising up, maybe we could have won a championship. It is just that Vince was young and stupid by the way he sorted this thing out through the media. Many players right now feel the same way vince did, but they would go to their GM and not the media in order to get traded.

Bosh was almost in the same situation Vince was. He did not blip a word, but I think he just simply talked to the staff in Toronto and not their media. Look at his team right, the GM has answered, and maybe he will stay after all… Bosh is real mature as a player, unlike vince at that time!

I would agree if circumstances on this team were different. Johnson is an amazing addition to this team but I would think it a waste of time to be working on his offensive skill set. He works best on offense with his putbacks and offensive boards. Having all the firepower that we have it would be silly to consider working him in with his shots(of course anything goes during garbage time and only then . If he is on the court that would mean Bosh is sitting and Bargnani is out on the floor with him or vice-versa so you already have two big men that generally play away from the basket. Johnson imo would not be best used for his shot or to keep defenders honest. **Disclaimer I am in any way a Johnson basher. I personally think he is the surprise so far in this early season..**

I think its time to get over this hate raptors fans have Vince Carter he was an integral part of this franchise and put toronto on the basketballmap. We got lucky and had arguably the best player at that time. The only person we should be blaming is Rob Babcock for all of his stupid mistakes (like real rafael arujo over andre igoudala) when u have a pf that you believe has alot of talent and would like to keep as one of the core players. Was anyone angry that we lost carter or that we got him for nothing(Aaron williams, Eric williams, Alonzo Mourning who didnt want to be here)he was probably the worst gm in NBA history. Carter was jus mad that the team didnt want do things to win a championship they wanted to rebuild.

Not that offense has been the issue but if I was to point out an issue it would be the shot selection. Too many times Wright in paticular takes too many shots. Made worse that they are often not good ones! Amir, put the elbow jumper in the vault! Please. More shots for Bosh and Calderon

Johnson has a very low success rate and I mean very low when he takes a shot with very little time remaining on the clock unless it is a chippie or dunk.

His outside shooting is still a better than his handles. His turnover rate when driving to the basket is something that is still too high for Triano’s liking.

While I do agree that Johnson should try and go the basket when the opportunity avails itself he also needs to show that he can make the outside shot which will require the defender to play closer to him and increase Johnson’s chances of beating him off of the dribble.
