I compared Bosh's Win Share Rate of .65 to some of the other superstars in the league. He is about the same as Lebron but they are both higher then everyone else I checked.

I would hate to think where the Raptors as currently constituted would be without Bosh.

Some year to date numbers

Left to Right - Player, Minutes, Offensive Rating, Defensive Rating, +/-, Win Shares

Starters
------------------
Bosh 325, 129 - 112 +17, 2.1
Bargnani 310, 119 - 115 +4, .8
Turkoglu 307, 118 - 115 +3, .6
DeRozan 158, 100 - 114 -14, .0
Calderon 298, 123 - 119 + 4 .7

Bench
----------
Wright 191, 94 - 117 -23, -0.1 (A minus Win Share - LOL)
Jack 215, 88 - 119 -31, -0.3 (An even worse minus Win Share)
Belinelli 145, 123 - 117 +6 0.4
Nesterovic 50, 128 - 112 +16 0.2
Johnson 138, 135 - 114 +21 0.4

So the leaders are

Minutes - Bosh 325
Offensive Rating - Johnson 135 (Something must wrong with these stats)
Defensive Rating - Bosh, Nesterovic 112
Spread - Johnson +21
Win Shares - Bosh 2.1
WS per 100 minutes played - Bosh .65

I'm not shocked people threw him under the bus to start the season and still won't give him respect now. I mean last year (even with the injury) was all his fault.

He must be the worst defensive PG in the league because the Raps are a poor defensive team... and good defense always starts with the PG, right?

He only racked up so many assists because he gave the ball to the open man and that guy hit their shot. I mean come on, always throw the ball at the rim for alley-oops... it doesn't matter that nobody was going to the bucket, someone will eventually.

He only had so few turnovers because he didn't take chances with the ball. Head down, out of control, wild passes.... thats what it takes to be a star!

Screw reliability... we wanted highlight reel plays every 24 secs. We would have been happier with a guy getting less assists, more turnovers and worse shooting (like Devin Harris) because he's fast and its awesome to watch.

I mean look at Jack this year... thats exactly what we want from Jose. He's always driving, trying to force plays, and every 5 games he makes a pass that will end up on a highlight reel. And everyone in the offseason said he was a good defender so it must be true!

Now as I turn the sarcasm off.... Jose's not going to get any respect regardless of how good a player he is. People were so excited about him to start last year and so dissappointed with the result of the season, they have become completely jaded.

P.S. feel bad bashing Jack cause I really like him and expect him to turn it around as the season progresses... but I find it ironic that the things he does wrong are exactly the things people said they wanted from Jose.

I really feel Jose may have got off to a slow start because he is used to being at game shape by the first game of the season. His play with the Spanish national team has been a big criticism over the last few years because it affects his durability by the end of the season. Nobody has considered that maybe his involvement with the team also affects how he plays at the beginning of the season. He is just hitting his stride now. Give him some time...he is an elite player and a damn hard worker. You can really see him bring the best he has on defense after the last few games.....it' not enough for some people but he is putting in the time and making adjustments. His shot is starting to fall now as well. He's turning a corner.

Way to shut up your detractors Jose!!!

I am still shocked at just how many people were throwing Jose Calderon under the bus at the start of this season.

The guy plays one season on a bad hamstring putting up his best numbers ever and he goes from being cheated out of an all-star spot to a goat. Talk about short term memory and no respect.
