But I think the Bosh and Hedo situation has more to do with showing other teams the value of some of other players. Under the best of circumstances they don't get out of the second round. We need another key piece and we'll need to trade a couple of prospects to do it. A few early losses means precious little in the big picture because if huge strides aren't made and bosh walks the plan falls apart.. Also,we can't offer many of these players any more money then they might already be getting when their current deals expire and offer bosh a max deal as well. So keeping them, knowing that they aren't going to get any time and don't fit into the long term plan is a waste time. I think (and hope) BC is working the phones trying to move a SG or SF right now for an upgrade. Why push things? Every year some coach complains about pre-season being too long: lots of time to add Hedo and CB4 to the mix: its all about the guys 9 through 15 getting themselves sorted out in the coach's mind right now.
