The x factor this season is actually Jose Calderon, because when Jose is healthy, the team is running much better. Yes, we did acquire Jarrett Jack, a great backup, but in order to succeed, we will need Jose healthy.
With Andrea Bargnani getting better, Chris Bosh playing under his contract year, with all the new acquisitions, and with a healthy squad, the Raptors should contend in the East. But this, only time will tell.
Complete 2010 Player Projections
The default order for player projections is based on ESPN.com’s recommended draft rankings, which take into account projected total points as well as upside and risk.
The year was 1999 and the Toronto Raptors we’re beginning to blossom. Their star player, Vince Carter, was the talk of the league, ferociously dunking on players and scoring at ease. Surrounding Vince was a cast of characters who complimented him perfectly. Grit, athleticism, youth balanced by experience and a legendary coach who called the shots.
That team, even though they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, was the greatest Raptor unit to ever take the court.
That is, however, now up for debate.

“And finally, at point guard three players come to mind. Alvin Williams, Damon Stoudamire, and Jose Calderon. It’s the toughest call of the bunch –- but it says here Jose is the better all around player.”
Um, where does it “say here” that Jose is the better all around player. I’m a little confused. Don’t get me wrong, I’d pick Jose out of those 3 too, but the article as a whole provided very little grounds for any claims it made. It was nice to see a head-to-head comparison, and the premise was good, but it fell short in terms of substance.
Re: “it says here”
This is a common journalistic device that just means that it is the opinion of the writer.
I hate when it’s written that way…sounds so arrogant.
Can’t agree with Bargnani over AD either. I wouldn’t take AB until he has a complete season playing at the level or better he did in the second half of last year.
It’s just not a contest at this point. Even undersized, AD was a better centre as a Raptor. Ask me next year, and I might give you a different answer though.
Why does Mark Jackson never get into the Raptor PG discussion? Did I just dream he played here?
Yes.
ESPN: Hassan Adams?!?
Ya, a reporter/columnist kinda loses credidibility when they don’t even know the roster.
+1
It’s not even that they got one name wrong. The author has Pops on the team too.
ya, but have you clicked for the next page? LOL… The ghost of Jorge Garbajosa’s there too…
I have a feeling that the entire database they’re drawing from is outdated. I wonder if they feel any shame?

ESPN has 21 players on Toronto’s roster, including Derrick Martin!
If you’re using ESPN for your fantasy picks I guess you’d better do some of your own research.
Zan Tabak Herald Article, he writes on the Bleacher Report and has some of the best headlines. But it seems he doesn’t provide much substance for some of his opinions.
Lots of stories though! Well read there.
They are listed on the Raptors because they haven’t signed with anyone else yet so the Raptors are their last team. Hassan is a unrestricted FA but the raptors still hold his bird rights. Pops has reached a verbal agreement with Houston but still hasn’t actully signed it.
ESPN’s fantasy analysis of Reggie Evans is interesting. They project him only getting minutes during garbage time. It could happen if Amir Johnson exceeds expectations, but not at the beginning of the season.
Ignoratnt mofos at ESPN. I closed the page when I saw Pops and Adams on the page. I mean, the projected Bosh, Calderon, and Jack to become worst. I mean do guys even think?
