Who’s a better player, at this stage of their career, Manu Ginobili or Michael Finley?

How about Francisco Elson or Robert Horry?

The list of inferior players who have in fact functioned as a “starter” over a “more talented player” for a good-to-very good-to-great team over the course of NBA history is quite extensive.

I’m sorry that you seem not to be able to understand how such a tactic might well have been a small step towards last year’s team actually being able to win more than just 33 games.

Whatever your logic is your logic I guess. Bottom line is great players like Bargs start and marginal players like Hump ride the bench period, and guys like Evans who are good servicable players fill a role when called on.

Look I agree that the writing is somewhat on the wall for Bosh in Toronto, but he does have a lot of good reasons to stay other than the money. He truly does love the city of Toronto it is apparent by how many events he is involved in. That big announcement he made recently was about a multimedia deal he made is with a Canadian Company. That work and contract will probably be null and void if he leaves Canada. Plus I dunno about you but I am following Bosh on twitter through facebook and his tweets have been pretty animated this past week, and in a positive way. (other than being sad that Humphries is leaving) I think that much like how LeBron has come out and said he is staying in Cleveland, Bosh may be feeling close to doing that too, after seeing how committed his GM is to getting him a quality team around him. I can’t help but feel like Chris has the same sense of optimism and excitement that Raptor fans felt this morning when they heard the deal went through as brilliantly as Colangelo did it. Anyway the main point is that the Toronto Raptors as an organization are gonna win either way. If Bosh stays we keep him and hopefully he delivers big after we show him the money. If the writing is true and he is gonna leave, I am sure he respects BC enough to give him a heads up and that then the Raps can try to get equal value either this season or next off season via a trade or sign and trade. I just don’t see Bosh dissing the Raps like past guys did. Look what BC did for Marion today, that goes a long way in a player’s eyes. I mean this deal today was one big I wash your back you wash mine fest, between 4 teams, Hedo and Marion really.

It’s apparent that you haven’t understand what I’ve written about the subject of the Raptors need to minimize Bargnani’s PT and to use a highly serviceable player like either Kris Humphries and/or Reggie Evans in his stead, for example, as a preferred Starter … given the intricacies mixing and matching different players in units which provide specific advantages for the Raptors while minimizing other disadvantages, as far as individual match-ups and styles of play as concerned.

As I’ve said before … your interpretation of what I’ve written on this specific topic is yours to make, not mine, and all I can tell you further on the matter is that you still seem not to have gotten it yet.

You are free to think that I have a hate/dislike for Andrea Bargnani, if you wish. That is strictly your perogative … regardless how wrong it may be.

Khan you have continued to write over and over how Bargnani should be on the bench going as far as saying numerous times that Hump should start ahead of him, and then you say you are not a Bargnani hater. How could anyone who researches everything basketball as much as you ever ever say that Bargnani should have sat in behind someone as stupid as Hump a marginal basketball player? Now you say Evans should start ahead of him too and yet you will not admit you simply hate Bargnani. Almost every sports writer out there says signing him yesterday was a shrewd deal by BC, and I am convinced waiting would have cost the Raps way more. Get over it as he is not going away.

Why doesn’t the raps try to sign Flip Murray. He can handle the ball as PG and play off-guard. He can be our JR smith off the bench (but with better control). He is a decent enough defender and with the hawks signing Bibby they wont need him anymore. Most hawks fans loved him this year (Loved watching the hawks this year). What do you think

Alot of GM would have just signed Hedo and be done with it and give their excuse on why they can’t do this and that. Mr.Bryan Colangelo went the extra mile and no matter how the season turns out , he has my sincere respect. He takes calculated risks and isn’t afraid of failure. Thank you Mr. Colangelo for giving your all. WE HAVE NEARLY 8 MILLION TO SIGN MORE PLAYERS and MLE for next year as well to add pieces.

Khan I cannot help but say you are still a overly biased idiot in your hate for Bargnani. Apparently you are way smarter than everyone out there in your opinion of Bargnani. Mind you I can see why you would want Evans starting instead of Bargnani…this way it would still be ok for Bosh to hog most possesions as Evans will not take a shot. Get a life and get over it man…Bargnani is here to stay and is our star of the future. I hope when Bosh leaves or gets traded you leave with him.

If you watch today’s press conference with Bryan Colangelo and Hedo Turkoglu, what you should be able to see confirmed is exactly what I’ve been telling you and others for the last 2 seasons … i.e. Bryan Colangelo has every intention of re-signing Chris Bosh to a Max Contract AND Chris Bosh has every intention of re-signing to play with the Raptors, under a Max Contract, after opting out next summer. *smile*

The apt comparison which I made for Bargnani during his 1st season with the Raptors was with former Detroit Piston Bill Laimbeer, rather than Dirk Nowitzki. If Bargnani can develop that degree of thuggery … which I believe he has within his character already, that just needs to be brought to the surface by Top Notch coaching … he becomes an extremely useful Center in the NBA, whichever team he happens to be playing for.

There has always been a lot to like about Bargnani’s individual game, given his specific strengths and weaknesses, provided you know what to look for, what to disregard and how to use him properly.
