To elaborate on why I think BC will make the wrong decision:
we need to address, in my opinion, two things above all else in this draft:
1) Back up PG
– probably, hopefully can be got second round. Calderon is our PG, for better or worse, and we can;t have him playing 40+ mins per night.
2) Wing-man – i feel like the horse is already dead and beaten thoroughly into the ground. Too bad LeBron or Wade aren’t in this draft!
- I believe that BC does not look at all the talent available, between Europe and the US and evaluate equally. I believe that he has a legacy he is working on to bring Europe to the NBA.
- We got rid of charlie V, and added TJ Ford because BC planned on picking Bargnani. Ok, fine. But, would it not have been smarter to keep Charlie V, and draft a wing man? This way we get to keep a big man, and get a wing? Maybe I am crazy.
1 – No, he will trade it with Jose for JO.

1) Last I heard, B.C. was thinking of dealing the pick to Miami for J.O. Word on the street is that O’Neal will bring us a lot of rebounding and interior toughness.
2)I am thankful the games are on TSN2, so that I will not be foolishly lured into watching any.

Instead, I think the next time I hear Matt Devlin’s voice I’ll go into the garage and sit in the car so that I can listen to the game on the radio. Then, when I give up on the game with 9 minutes to go in the fourth because the Raptors are down by 17, I can shut all the windows, push the seat back into the reclining position, switch the dial over to some easy listening FM station and let all of the fumes and carbon monoxide do the rest. 1. I actually think so. See the thing with getting a top 5 pick is that you don’t have much of choice but picking the best player available (Bosh, Vince and CharlieV were all picked this way). The top 3 picks tend to be the most dangerous one’s because the GM’s tend to get goose bumps over a high almost impossible to reach potential and that’s when you can fuck up the most (Oden over Durant, Bargnani over Roy and Bogut over CP3)

on the draft: BC build the (late) suns almost exclusively on draft (nash,marion,amare). So I think he’ll get the best available.

This is a pretty ridiculous comment. I’d hardly call the OTPB a “shady” ownership group. It is financially stable and there is zero risk that the franchise will be moving in the near future. Check out the state of some of the other teams that are owned by entrepreneur/hobbyist types:
Sacto Kings (Maloofs) — threatening to pull out of Sacto if the government doesn’t pony up for a new arena.
OKC Thunder (Clay Bennet) — engineered a plot to steal the Sonics and move them to his home town.
Charlotte Bobcats (Bob Johnson) — named the team after himself, and they are mediocre from year to year.
Phoenix Suns (Robert Sarver) — dumps first round picks like they’re going out of style and on the verge of breaking up a team to save on payroll.
Any issues the Raps are going through now are most definitely not due to the fact that a financially motivated organization is signing the checks. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that if OTPB didn’t own the majority of MLSE, that this site would be devoted to the Las Vegas Raptors.
