Bargnani – Best in Class at dribbling it off the backboard

  2. verbatim says:

if triano doesn’t stop leaning on voskuhl….for god sakes! maybe he’s in to take all the team’s fouls…jeez.

  3. asdf says:

    @chemist14307 LMFAO

  4. verbatim says:

this one feels good. can the feeling last beyond orlando???

  5. nunya says:

The first good win in months… unfortunately, they’ve had good games before and never sustain it.

  6. FAQ says:

Every Raptor player without a contract for next season is putting out a 110% effort and playing to the best of their limited ability. Maybe there is a flicker of light in some of the lesser players being retained by the Raptors and trading some of the bigger names for more athletic, young players underutilized by their teams.

I may not want this team to miraculously make it into the Eastern conference playoffs … I would prefer tanking and trading and getting good draft picks. It’s time for a rebuild.

  7. verbatim says:

i agree with rebuilding – but when i say rebuilding, i mean let’s get some quality around Bosh and Calderon (and hopefully VL as well). Break the bank next season, the season after. Whatever it takes. If Boston could do it, so can the Raps.

I mean, most players will play in Toronto if the money and the surrounding talent is there. It is just that no one thinks Toronto can put something like that together. Hell, we haven’t so far.

  8. verbatim says:

oh, and I hope Calderon gets better. I think it is entirely possible that his poor defence and unwillingness to drive was due to lingering injuries…and now that he started driving more he re-aggravated an injury…there is no luck in raptorland sometimes…

get better soon Jose, because WillOko can’t do it. Whatever strides we see, they just are not NBA level point guards…

  9. Albert says:

We need Nash next year. Build the team around Nash to win a championship next year.

  10. j says:

you guys do realize that we won WITHOUT o’neal and jose, right?

  11. khandor says:

Jose Calderon [at $7.4 M/yr] is a solid PG in this League and, until the Raptors get a superior player at this position [if they ever do, in the immediate future], will always help to make their team better with his presence on the floor and/or the bench.

Jermaine O’Neal’s circumstances, however, are very different.

Jermain O’Neal [at $21.3 M] is superfluous on this team and is little more than an overly expensive albatross around its neck, delaying the continued development of Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani, Kris Humphries, Joey Graham and Jamario Moon.

When this team plays without him it is far superior to when it plays with him … which is exactly what I said would be the case back in the summer when this trade was first being contemplated.
