Direct from the man himself:
This afternoon I received the results of the MRI that was carried out this mourning, after the game against Philadelphia. There is a small injury that will require follow up daily to see how it evolves. It is too early to know if I can play the next game but fortunately, it does not seem as serious as one could think at a first glance. I was more relaxed after the news, but it is necessary to be careful and to monitor the injury’s evolution.
14 Raps
I just Irished my coffee after reading that.
If he doesn’t play Sunday, we’re dead in the water. Even Chris Quinn will torch our two back-back-backup PGs.
Why do I read “injury’s evolution” and think this is only going to get worst before better? 6-8 weeks Alt?
Vamos, Jose!! Que Te Mejores Muy Pronto!!
As I mentioned in the summer … it is going to be an interesting season ahead, in Raptorville.
NBA hoops is a game of constant choices … on and off the floor.
Whichever teams make the best choices, consistently and repeatedly are the ones which finish at the top of the League in June.

[for example]
Between …
i) Using Andrea Bargnani, at the #3-spot, right now;
and,
ii) Using Anthony Parker at the #1-spot … plus re-aligning Moon [#2] & Graham [#3]
it’s a no-brainer.
Moon at 2? With that handle?!?!? I’d rather have Bargnani with Kapono or Graham. One gives you 3 pointers, while the other gives you drives to the bucket. On D, they’re taller so a zone should work.
hmm…AP at the point, with moon at SG & robo-joe at SF. i think i just threw up a tiny little bit…
re: hmm…AP at the point, with moon at SG & robo-joe at SF. i think i just threw up a tiny little bit…
Ahhh … that’s a shame … since I was going for more than that.
Boko,
Not all #2’s in the NBA are designated to play that spot because of their ‘handle’.
It’s a team game.
… based on the individual strengths and weaknesses of the players on a specific roster, and how they fit together as a group.
Right, all-knowing one. I’ve been a player-coach, so I don’t need your condescension. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Yeah Khandor no one wants your condensation! lol
I think the point to me is minor injury or not. The fact he is showing signs of wear and tear this early is a bad sign. This is proof that he needs to be playing less minutes. It also should not be a surprised given he had injury in the Olympics. That injury should have been a warning to the Raptors to get a real experienced back up point guard instead of what we have.
James… no doubt!! Like, get a clue, BC! And what’s really funny to me, is that we got rid of TJ because we were trying to avoid this problem. The fear of potential injuries. I was expecting this around Feb/March… but this early?! Effin trainwreck. And this is not a good long term sign either.

You saw condescension in what I wrote there?
Hmmmm …. that’s not what I see, or what I intended to convey.
Maybe take a 2nd look at that.

However, what I do see, perhaps, is some degree of condescension in the words which you wrote back towards me.

Edgar,
re: Condensation
On that, I am totally with you, bro. : )
For everything else there’s Mastercard.
At this point Calderon is the reigning Iron man for the Raptors at 100 games plus, what makes you think he is injury prone, or that he should be a long term concern.
Any NBA player is only an ankle sprain, a groin pull, or hamstring tweak, away from missing a game.
It’s the nature of the game but does not often occur if you consider 400/450 players in the league, with 275/300 playing regularly
