I just don't think he's the type to ever "pull a Vince". There's no denying that he has no more allegiance to his employer than any of us necessarily have to ours, but he doesn't strike me as a classless whiner. I guess if we tank this season, we'll get evidence one way or the other soon enough.

Point is, and I agree with this, CB4 (like any other NBA player) is not worried about the Toronto Raptors. He is worried about himself and Mr. Harrington. In that sense him and "play snitcher" are very much alike. So, it's very much apples to apples. Granny Smith to Gravenstein, maybe, but still apples.

I don't think Bosh and Vince share a single, follicle-thin strand of DNA. Appreciate your speculation though, but in my opinion, you can't compare apples to overripe, sour, rotting tangerines.

Dinosty - Oct 23, 2008 8:37 pm

Joey and Kapono for Wallace? What’s in it for Charlotte?

Reduced long term payroll maybe? Okay, it was only a suggestion ... but surely you must agree that the Raptors must be desperate for a decent SF and would be happy to lock in somebody like Wallace for the long term.

Apparently BC passed up on TJ for Wallace, preferring to get JO, but why?

My speculation is that Bosh told BC if the Raptors did not bring in a legitimate starting and rebounding PF/C, he would not be able to continue accommodating the team as he has in the past.

Enough is enough ... bring in a body or else he, Bosh, will start doing a 'vince' to save his body/career by only taking safe jump shots and nominal rebounding. Bosh must look forward to extending his career beyond 2010, when he can command a really big, long term contract from somebody, and he is not going to sacrifice that by destroying himself for the abject Raptors .. after all it is a business too.

FAQ = Preacher

Raps Fan = Choir

i love wallace, and probably would have traded ford straight up for the guy, drafted hibbert with the first rounder, and probably been in the same position as this current team without the massive payroll and more flexibility...totally getting ahead of myself, this is Dinosty's intro post, lol.

Arsenalist: So now the Raptors will have to run with dubious SFs until when ... the next draft lottery? How about Joey and Kapono for Wallace, and that would relieve Charlotte of his long term contract? When and where are the Raptors gonna find a decent SF .. bring back Vince maybe???

RapsFan: Good SFs are kamikaze players and are prone to injury slashing to the basket. That's an occupational hazard playing SF. Would you rather have Joey saving himself for his old age?

Will Raptor fans tolerate an inadequate team like Leaf fans do ... because what ar the prospects of this roster going into the future?

Hi FAQ, glad you found your way over.

Wallace's big contract ends in 2012/13. There is no way BC makes that trade and ties up money for so long, especially after JO. Wallace was actually offered for TJ Ford straight-up but we declined.
